The contract for the development of the new Land Registry software for the Registrar General’s Department (RGD), the Property Business Registration System (PBRS) officially began Thursday 10th January 2019, at a meeting hosted by the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs. Mr. Maurice Suite, Permanent Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister and acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs, met with Consortium representatives from IGN FI, GEOFIT and the UWI, St. Augustine. The development of the new system, which will replace the existing PIMS system, is being financed under a loan from the InterAmerican Development Bank, through the Ministry of Planning and Development. The launch of the PBRS is scheduled for 2019.
