The Minister of Construction, Housing and Urbanism, Mr. Bruno Nabagné KONE, made a working visit on May 10th, 2022, to assess the progress of field operations in Zone-1. He was welcomed by the PACOGA coordination team, by the representatives of the PADA International Technical Assistance, by the Permanent Local Team of the BNETD Addressing Center, under the supervision of the DAGERU.
In his opening speech, the PADA coordinator, Mr. MARTIN, described the implementation process and the level of progress of technical operations in the four communes of zone-1. Then, the supervisor of the surveyors explained the strategy adopted for the completion of the field surveys, as well as the supervisor of the field team who presented the approach implemented for the numbering of the doors. To conclude, the Minister visited the technical achievements, which allowed him to show his satisfaction with the results obtained.
At the end of his visit, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Urbanism, Mr. Bruno Nabagné KONE, encouraged the field operators to redouble their efforts in order to accelerate the survey and staking operations. The field surveys in zone 2 have already started ahead of schedule.
About PADA: The Abidjan District Addressing Project (PADA) is part of the operationalization of street and gate addressing in the District of Abidjan as well as the establishment of a unique autonomous addressing reference system in Abidjan. Once implemented, the project will facilitate rapid localization in case of emergency intervention by the gendarmerie or the fire department, for example, and will allow for the modernization of postal services and better localization in the city during travel.
