From 22 to 25 September, the XVI International Congress of Topography, Cadastre, Geodesy and Geomatics was held in San José (Costa Rica), organised by the College of Topographic Engineers of Costa Rica.
Professor Melvin Hoyer, the IGN FI’s Technical Director for the project dedicated to the densification of the permanent geodetic network and the implementation of the Colombian computing centre, presented a summary of the activities carried out in Colombia. This includes in particular the installation of 13 new stations (CORS) and above all the creation of a control and dissemination centre allowing easy access for all users to the country’s geodetic data and associated services (PPP, online calculation, etc.).
