Today, the representation of territories relies on geographic databases, which are at the heart of geographic data infrastructures (GDIs). National mapping is part of this dynamic and can be integrated with broader initiatives such as a national geomatics plan (NGP).

The national objective is to create a foundational reference data layer, common to thematic databases developed in collaboration with other public bodies, thereby enabling the development of specific applications and cartographic products tailored to business needs.

IGN FI offers to support its clients through all stages of their projects: initial assessment of available data, technical aspects (from initial setup to updates), and organizational aspects (technology transfer, coordination, etc.).
